PERFORMANCE BASED STANDARDS SCHEME (PBS) AFFECT ON TRUCK AND TRAILER TYRES

Performance Based Standards Scheme is now impacting the Commercial Road Transport Industry throughout Australia, from trailer builders through to heavy equipment suppliers.

Many heavy equipment suppliers are investing more time in the manufacturing and R&D processes to ensure their products maintain the highest level of safety possible. As a result, these heavy equipment suppliers are looking for tyre manufacturers to have the same level of transparency when it comes to tyres for trucks, trailers and heavy vehicles.

In reaction to this demand, Dandenong based tyre distributor – Premium Tyre Wholesaler now has PBS data available on its Goodride tyre range. CEO of Premium Tyre Wholesaler says that the new Goodride range of tyres last longer than standard tyres as they have been reinforced for added durability. He continues to say that these tyres are stronger than standard tyres due to their full four belt casings along with a new cut and chip tread compound.

Premium Tyre Wholesalers believe the Goodride brand will have a large impact on the truck and trailer market in Australia because of the PBS data they can offer heavy equipment manufacturers.
